Arizona educator Anna Ricardo makes her debut as author with The Dream Warrior and the White Wolf, a short novel where Angelica Fitzgerald, high school girl, is caught in between being a teen and becoming a young woman all the while trying to make sense of her enigmatic dreams.

Her vivid and symbolic dreams become premonitions that thrust her into a risky battle to try to help her friend Maribel.

Ricardo's inspiration to create the literary characters for The Dream Warrior and the White Wolf stems from her experience working with students in grades 6-12 in the American Southwest for nearly two decades.

She finds the inventiveness for her creative writing from listening to the voices of her high school students, and their spirit of resiliency.

She works as a high school teacher in Tucson, Arizona.
