Péndulo Social, a Spanish weekly radio talk show, is broadcasted live from Phoenix, Arizona
every Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:00 pm on KNUV 1190-AM, and is hosted by HISI's director
and journalist Eduardo Barraza.
The show combines more than two decades of experience in journalism, and offers listeners
the opportunity to express different points of view about social issues affecting their lives.
Spanish-language listeners can explore ideas within a social-based journalistic context, and
from the perspective of direct participants rather than spectators.
Péndulo Social, conveys the concept that ideas in the show will swing freely from one side
to the other, and many times back and forth. And just as pendulums are affected by change
related to gravity, a “social pendulum” aims to effect social change and influence social
forces shaping our communities.
